CORRECTION: The Cooper Companies to Acquire Ocular SciencesLAKE FOREST, Calif. and CONCORD, Calif., July 28, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Cooper Companies, Inc. (NYSE:COO) and Ocular Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq:OCLR) announced an agreement earlier today via a press release that included two minor errors.

The errors in the earlier press release are: 

    The contact person for Japan and Far East was misspelled.
    The correct spelling is Michael Kotow.
    In the section titled Information, an email address was
    given for Ocular Sciences.  The correct email address is
    ocularir@evcgroup.com.
