Cooper Names McBride Vice President and General Counsel

PLEASANTON, Calif., Nov 5, 2007 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- The Cooper Companies, Inc. (NYSE:COO) said today that Daniel G. Mc Bride has been appointed vice president and general counsel.

McBride joined Cooper in February 2005 as senior counsel and in June 2006 was named vice-president and senior counsel of The Cooper Companies and vice-president and general counsel of CooperVision, Inc.

Prior to joining The Cooper Companies, McBride was an attorney with Latham & Watkins LLP from October 1998 to February 2005 concentrating on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. He holds a Juris Doctor degree, Order of the Coif, from Stanford Law School and a B.S. in Finance from Santa Clara University.
